Finding Your Self

I got back from the mint the other week had a great show but got into a funk with a bit of a cold. But there's always a little bit of a let down no matter how great everything goes, the kiln firing, the show and the end of a work cycle. I think its just the artists critical eye, over thinking, being a little to critical of ones self and the ending of a cycle and beginning another. It happens every time I finish a big work cycle but give me a day or two and Im back on track. I think i just need time to process everything and not let the few little things that didn't go just the way I wanted to overshadow a great firing (I think its the best I'v had) and a great show at THE MINT put on buy some great folks!

In other news I found myself the other day!!! Drove out to BLAIE North Carolina its right next door in the uwharrie national forest. I just had to take a picture growing up I never new anyone else named Blaine always liked my name but on the rare occasion ever Id meet someone I was so amazed and thrilled now it seems Im almost home. :-)

where ever you go there you are- I have a street named after me in Norfolk- but it is not as pretty as a place in the county!
Like you I meet only one person with my name when I was a kid and now there are lots.

What a great picture! You should have a print made and put it up in your studio so you know who you are at all times :)
I used to feel the same about my name. Growing up, I was the only Tracey in my school and I never met anyone named Tracey until I got out of college.
